About Us

With a dream of starting their own entrepreneurship and following their passion for design, Kurrbat is the brainchild of Sonali and Naina’s brainchild - Our Founders. With their degrees in Economic and Design thinking & fashion business, respectively, Kurrbat is a perfect collaboration for a potential business model and a dream of creating designs that are a unique blend of feminine fragility and power. Kurrbat endeavors to create art that presents Punjab’s rich culture encapsulated in contemporary contours and provides an affordable and versatile range of juttis for our customers.

Using Punjab‘s cultural heritage craftsmanship and embroidery techniques, Kurrbat is an initiative that strives to bridge the gap between traditional craft and modern utility; Juttis, which were first patronized by the Mughals, extremely popular amongst the kings and queens belonging to the wealthiest era of Indian history, here at Kurrbat we aim to revive the purest artistry of our indigenous craftsmen and artisans, and hence an attempt at being closer to our culture.

Juttis are the only ethnic alternative for the long-established ballerina shoes. They are a testament to the opulent heritage of our country. The survival of such rich craft reflects the unstoppable spirit of tenacity and toughness of the artisans who enrich our culture with beautiful colours, increasing passion, energy and zest for life, inspiring us to put out souls to bring out the best soles for our customers.

We have found inspiration in adventure, travel and culture rather than following the trends; simplicity, comfort and originality are at the core of our design philosophy. Whether you are looking for a Panna, Nagra or lakky jutti lakk in Punjabi means waist, so a jutti that is narrower at the middle section or like how we call it here Kurrbat; an hourglass jutti ), we have a varied range of products available. Your wardrobe may have plenty of ethnic wear, but it’s essential to pair it with the right shoes to complete the look. Accessories have the power to make or break your outfit. You can make a simple kurta stand out by pairing it with the right shoes. Whether you are looking to find something for an upcoming occasion or an easy wardrobe choice for an everyday look, Kurrbat aims to make you look embellished with our comfortable, versatile, budget-friendly, feasible and gorgeous collection.
